Job Overview:
Sri Lakshmi Tractors, an authorized dealer of Mahindra tractors, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Mahindra tractors and agricultural machinery. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in Mahindra tractors (Oja, Yuvraj, Jivo, XP Plus, SP Plus, Yuvo Tech +, Arjun, Novo) and other agricultural machinery.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, part replacements, and system checks, to ensure the tractors and equipment run efficiently.
- Field Service: Travel to customer sites when necessary to provide on-site service and repairs.
- Parts Replacement: Identify worn or damaged parts and recommend replacements to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain repairs, provide estimates, and advise on preventive maintenance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work, including parts used, labor time, and recommendations for future service.
- Tool Management: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on Mahindra’s tractor models and technical updates to ensure high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a service technician, mechanic, or similar role (preferably in agricultural machinery or automotive repair).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license (for field service visits).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Mahindra tractors or similar agricultural machinery.
- Certification in tractor or automotive repair.
